Different services have been provided specifically in training and research. Training related services covered a range of areas including development of training manuals and organization and facilitation of training workshops. Key topics covered by the bulk of the trainings include gender and related concepts, gender and development, gender and culture, gender and HIV/AIDS, gender analysis, gender mainstreaming in policies and projects, gender in M&E, gender auditing, gender advocacy, gender responsive budgeting (GRB), gender and economics, gender and trade and gender in project cycle.
Concerning research a number of studies have been conducted including formulation of sector policies and related implementation strategies and plans, impact assessment of some laws in place, mainstreaming gender dimension in projects, gender auditing, development of gender mainstreaming strategies and developing gender sensitive indicators.
